A Spin Through Zagreb

We arrived in Zagreb on Croatia Airlines this afternoon, which was about 4am our time.  We were all pretty tired but we wanted to take advantage of the mild temperatures and the couple of hours of sunlight left in the day to get a feel for Croatia. So we got our rental vehicle and headed straight into the heart of central Zagreb.  Ben is our designated driver and I am the chief navigator.  I man the Tom Tom and have other maps at the ready.  We found ourselves quickly in busy afternoon traffic on narrow downtown streets with lots of pedestrians, streetcars, holiday shoppers, odd street signs, and a few crazy drivers.  Ok, a lot of crazy drivers.  Ben did great -- he only got honked at once!  We returned to our hotel to see if we can get our body clocks adjusted to the new time zone.  That means nappy time for the other two while I watch an episode of Two and a Half Men dubbed in Croatian.  I think it's funnier in Croatian than English! Tomorrow morning, Sam and Angie arrive from London at it's off to our villa on the Adriatic coast.
